Introduction to the ELCA “Conscience-bound Beliefs”

ELCA Social Statement “Human Sexuality: Gift and Trust”

This social teaching statement was amended and adopted by the eleventh biennial Churchwide Assembly on August 19, 2009, at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In response, this church draws on the foundational Lutheran understanding that the baptized are called to discern God's love in service to the neighbor. In our Christian freedom, we therefore seek responsible actions that serve others and do so with humility and deep respect for the conscience-bound beliefs of others. We understand that, in this discernment about ethics and church practice, faithful people can and will come to different conclusions about the meaning of Scripture²⁵ and about what constitutes responsible action. We further believe that this church, on the basis of "the bound conscience,"²⁶ will include these different understandings and practices within its life as it seeks to live out its mission and ministry in the world.

This church recognizes that, with conviction and integrity:

· On the basis of conscience-bound belief, some are convinced that the scriptural witness does not address the context of sexual orientation and lifelong loving and committed relationships that we experience today. They believe that the neighbor and community are best served when same-gender relationships are honored and held to high standards and public accountability, but they do not equate these relationships with marriage. They do, however, affirm the need for community support and the role of pastoral care and may wish to surround lifelong, monogamous relationships or covenant unions with prayer.

· On the basis of conscience-bound belief, some are convinced that the scriptural witness does not address the context of sexual orientation and committed relationships that we experience today. They believe that the neighbor and community are best served when same-gender relationships are lived out with lifelong and monogamous commitments that are held to the same rigorous standards, sexual ethics, and status as heterosexual marriage. They surround such couples and their lifelong commitments with prayer to live in ways that glorify God, find strength for the challenges that will be faced, and serve others. They believe same-gender couples should avail themselves of social and legal support for themselves, their children, and other dependents and seek the highest legal accountability available for their relationships.

Although at this time this church lacks consensus on this matter, it encourages all people to live out their faith in the local and global community of the baptized with profound respect for the conscience-bound belief of the neighbor. This church calls for mutual respect in relationships and for guidance that seeks the good of each individual and of the community. Regarding our life together as we live with disagreement, the people in this church will continue to accompany one another in study, prayer, discernment, pastoral care, and mutual respect.

MARTIN LUTHER ON “CONSCIENCE”

The concept of being bound by conscience goes directly back to Martin Luther, the great Reformer who established what became known as the Lutheran tradition. On more than one famous occasion, Luther publicly took his stand and held his ground, claiming that his conscience was bound by the Word of God. He most famously made this case as he stood on trial before the Diet of Worms on April 18, 1521. Before the impaneled church leaders and the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Luther declared:

“Unless I am convinced by the testimony of the Scriptures or by clear reason …, I am bound by the Scriptures I have quoted, and my conscience is captive to the Word of God.”(Martin Luther)

"It is the nature of all hypocrites and false prophets to create a conscience where there is none, and to cause conscience to disappear where it does exist." (Martin Luther)

“God wants our conscience to be certain and sure that it is pleasing to Him. This cannot be done if the conscience is led by its own feelings, but only if it relies on the Word of God.” (Martin Luther)

ELCA stance on Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender

Presiding Bishop of the ELCA, Mark S. Hanson, is a strong advocate for the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender (LGBT) community. The presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is suggesting that the Bible isn’t the last word on homosexuality.

“The understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers.” “When we come to the question of how we read the Bible, in response to homo or place of gay/lesbian in life and ministry. Let’s bring the question to the text, but to the text others turn to, that leads them to say, ‘The questions of homosexual orientation that I hear asked and the understanding we have of homosexuality that we have today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the Biblical writers, so let us bring our understanding of sexual orientation that has been opened up to humankind over the years to this conversation.’ Therefore, he said, Lutherans should consider more modern views on sexual orientation.

Since the ELCA's Church wide Assembly in Minneapolis voted to allow congregations to call and ordain gays and lesbians in committed monogamous relationships to serve as clergy,Bishop Hanson has been releasing several videos in support of the LGBT community. This was posted on the ELCA website:

ELCA Bishop, the Rev. Robert Rimbo of the Metropolitan New York Synod signed a statement which says, “We, the undersigned, urge the New York State Legislature to protect families in New York State by extending marriage to same-sex couples.”

A letter from 150 Iowa pastors was delivered to Iowa lawmakers today stating their support for same-sex marriage. "As clergy, we stand together in support of civil marriage equality for ALL families. We ask for your support of civil marriage equality and ask that you oppose any resolution or attempt to diminish the marriage rights of Iowa’s families."

The Conference of Bishops of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) reached a consensus March 8 on a draft proposal for a rite that would bring onto the church's official clergy roster those pastors who were ordained and are on the clergy roster of "Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries (ELM)." Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries (ELM) expands ministry opportunities for publicly-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people called to leadership in the Lutheran church as ordained pastors and rostered lay leaders. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

If you would like to read an excellent study titled “Inquiry into the ELCA’s Actions and Rationale”. The research explains in detail how liberals and pro-gay proponents were able to systematically align its pawns over the years and then stack the deck during the 2009 ELCA Church wide Assembly.

Official “ELCA Confession of Faith”:

This church confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe
- Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
- The proclamation of God's message to us as both Law and Gospel is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy through word and deed, beginning with the Word in creation, continuing in the history of Israel, and centering in all its fullness in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
- The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God's Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God's revelation centering in Jesus Christ. Through them God's Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world.
This church accepts the canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm of its proclamation, faith, and life.

This is what Martin Luther said:

Luther wrote, "The pope boasts that the Christian Church is above the Word of God. No, this is not true! We must be pupils and not aspire to be masters, for the pupil must not be above his master." (LW. 23.231; Q. in Ibid.)

Also, "Years ago all the pope's pronouncements were called Christian truth and articles of faith, yet this was simply based on man. And then it happened that people sank into the abyss and lost everything that pertains to the Word of God and Christ. Therefore, we must now declare: 'Pope, council, and doctors, we will not believe you; but we will believe in the Divine Word." (LW. 23.297; Q. in Ibid.)

"When anything contrary to Scripture is decreed in a council, we ought to believe Scripture rather than the council. Scripture is our court of appeal and bulwark; with it we can resist even an angel from heaven - as St. Paul commands in Galatians 1(:8) - let alone a pope and a council." (LW. 32.81; Q. in Wood, 126)

Luther writes about the Old Testament, "I beg and really caution every pious Christian not to be offended by the simplicity of the language and stories frequently encountered there, but fully realize that, however simple they may seem, these are the very words, works, judgments and deeds of the majesty, power and wisdom of the most high God." (LW 35.236; Q. in Wood)

"The Christian reader should make it his first task to seek out the literal sense, as they call it. For it alone is the whole substance of faith and Christian theology; it alone holds its ground in trouble and trial." (LW. 9.24; Q. in Wood, 164)

Luther also said that one. . . "should take pains to have one definite and simple understanding of Scripture and not to be a wanderer and vagabond, like the rabbis, the Scholastic theologians, and the professors of law, who are always toiling with ambiguities." (LW. 8.209; Q. in Ibid.)

"Among Christians the rule is not to argue or investigate, not to be a smart aleck or a rationalistic know-it-all; but to hear, believe, and persevere in the Word of God, through which alone we obtain whatever knowledge we have of God and divine things. We are not to determine out of ourselves what we must believe about him, but to hear and learn it from him." (LW. 13.237; Q. in Wood, 120)

'I do not reject them. But everyone, indeed, knows that at times they have erred, as men will; therefore, I am ready to trust them only when they give me evidence for their opinions from Scripture, which has never erred.' (LW. 32.11; Q. in Wood, 125)

'I have learned to do only those books that are called the Holy Scriptures the honor of believing firmly that none of their writes has ever erred. All others I so read as not to hold what they say to be truth unless they prove it to me by Holy Scripture or clear reason.'" (Epistolae, 82; Q. in LW. 32.189; Q. in Wood, 125;

This is what God says in the Bible:

Leviticus 18:22 - Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.

Romans 1:26-27 - Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The fifth annual"Faith and Feminism Conference" taking place Nov. 11–13 is being hosted by theEbenezer Lutheran Church in San Francisco, which bills itself as "herchurch." Among the scheduled participants is Loreon Vigne, high priestess ofIsis Oasis – a temple, retreat and animal sanctuary Vigne founded in 1978 in Geyserville, Calif. Also speaking at the conference isMary Streufert, director for Justice for Women at ELCA's headquarters in Chicago.

This is Pastor Megan Rohrer,the first openly transgender Lutheran pastor ordained in the United States.

This particular ELCA Lutheran church in San Francisco heavily promotes a female identity for God, with a giant banner hanging from its purple exterior declaring "God/dess loves all her children."

Sisters and brothers in Christ,

The time has come for immigration reform in the United States. Yes, the issues are complex and not easily resolved. It is understandable that people are wary of engaging this politically and emotionally charged issue……

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) are committed to work toward comprehensive [immigration] reform that balances respect for the law with the recognition of due process and respect for humanitarian principles." Stating that "the nation's immigration system is broken, and Congress and the administration must work together to find a just and humane solution while assuring orderly migration," LIRS identifies four foundational values for immigration reform:

· keeping families together

· maintaining basic human and worker rights

· helping our new neighbors come out of the shadows

· seeking a path to permanence for our new neighbors

The 2011 Churchwide Assembly (870-61) voted for comprehensive immigration reform, endorsed the DREAM Act, and asked the ELCA Presiding Bishop to communicate this support to President Obama and the US Congress.

This is Christ's church and I know many of us are already involved in finding ways to welcome the newcomer. Let us continue to work together to support comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act.

Dear President Obama:

As the presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and a member of the Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, I write to lift up the support of our national church body for comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act.

We are a church that belongs to Christ, and we believe God calls each of us by name. Therefore, the ELCA has repeatedly affirmed the biblical witness and our shared experience of working with and on behalf of America’s newcomers through our ministry with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.

The 2011 Churchwide Assembly of the ELCA voted overwhelmingly in support of immigration reform and the DREAM Act. The churchwide assembly is the ELCA’s highest legislative authority serving on behalf of 4.2 million baptized ELCA members.

The biblical call to hospitality also inspired Lutheran congregations across the country to discuss transforming communities into centers of hospitality through relationship building and advocacy. In addition, congregations are holding DREAM Act Sabbaths to lift up the experiences of undocumented youth and encourage broader public support for the legislation.

The need to overhaul the U.S. immigration system is becoming ever more urgent. In the absence of comprehensive immigration reform, states have felt compelled to write their own immigration laws, which are often shortsighted and misguided. The ELCA needs your leadership. We urge you to continue to speak to Congress and the American public to take action on comprehensive immigration reform and the DREAM Act and to explore other compassionate policy reforms that advance the common good.

As a national church body, the ELCA -- our congregations, bishops, schools and millions of individual members -- continues to preach, teach, advocate and work with and on behalf of America’s newcomers. This nation has achieved such greatness due to the resilience, labor and intellect of immigrants. We will roll up our sleeves and work tirelessly until this nation is once again a place of welcome and justice for newcomers.

Statement on Iraq Situation

As presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), I am deeply concerned about any such action. In the 1995 ELCA social statement, "For Peace in God's World," we said that, as Christians, "the love of our neighbor obligates us to act to prevent wars and seek alternatives to them." This is a time to stop the use of hostile rhetoric and verbal threats, and to focus again on diplomacy.

While we are fully aware of the potential threat posed by the government of Iraq and its leader, I believe it is wrong for the United States to seek to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein with military action. Morally, I oppose it because I know a war with Iraq will have great consequences for the people of Iraq, who have already suffered through years of war and economic sanctions. I do not believe such a war can be justified under the historic principles of "just war." Further, I believe it is detrimental to U.S. interests to take unilateral military action against Iraq when there is already strong international support for weapons inspections, and when it is apparent that most other world governments oppose military action. I also believe that U.S. military action at this time will further destabilize the region.

The United States should continue its cooperation with international efforts through the United Nations to control Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. The ELCA has consistently called for diplomatic efforts toward a cease-fire and a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. I would encourage the U.S. government to formulate its response to Iraq toward a similar end.

As the attention of this nation increasingly focuses on the anniversary of Sept. 11, we are reminded of the devastating impact of war. So, we continue to reject violent action and are renewed in our resolve to find peaceful, nonviolent solutions.

ELCA Pro-Palestinian-Antisemitism

On 31 May 2010, Israeli Shayetet 13 naval commandos boarded the ships from speedboats and helicopters in order to force the ships to the Israeli port of Ashdod for inspection. On the Turkish ship MV Mavi Marmara, boarding faced resistance from about 40 IHH activists – described in a UN report as a "separate hardcore group" – who were armed with iron bars and knives. During the struggle, nine activists were killed, and many were wounded.

The Bishop decided to scold and condemn Israel for intercepting the Gaza Flotilla it suspected of carrying weapons or illegal materials into GAZA.

On behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and The Lutheran World Federation, organizations that are deeply engaged with and committed to the Lutheran Christians and all persons living in Palestine and Israel, I express my deep sadness regarding events surrounding the flotilla seeking to deliver humanitarian goods to Gaza.

THE TRUTH OF THE INCIDENT:

A majority of the arrested “peace activists” whobrutally attacked the Israeli soldierswith pipes, metal rods. chairs and knives arelinked to terror groups including Al-Qaeda. Several are members of the Muslim Brotherhood. The activists include Turks, Yemenites and Indonesians. And, many of the arrested “peace” fanatics have no identification papers.

Letter to President Obama on UN Settlement Veto and Further Peace Efforts

Dear Mr. President,

We believe the current upheaval in the Arab world both reveals God’s desire for the liberation of all people from oppression (Psalm 146.7) and presents an opportunity to support moral values in advancing human rights.

In this connection, we wish to express our regret that the United States vetoed the resolution in the United Nations Security Council February 18 reaffirming that Israeli settlements activities in the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, are illegal.

While we appreciate statements affirming continuing U.S. strong opposition to the expansion of Israeli settlements, these must be followed by concrete measures to halt this activity. We believe bold and immediate new steps are needed now to prevent this veto from further damaging America’s credibility as a broker to help resolve this conflict that threatens the security of both peoples and denies self-determination to Palestinians.

Bishop Hanson decides to commend President Obama for his world apology tour and trip to Egypt. Obviously he feels that apologizing for the USA on Muslim soil will somehow appease radical Islamists into liking us.

Comment on President Obama’s Middle East speech

I appreciate President Barack Obama’s speech on the Middle East this week. It contains principles that resonate with the principles in previous statements by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the region.

The ELCA has drawn its line in the sand concerning the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. They whole heartedly support a Palestinian state while condemning Israel for settlements on their own land!

The ELCA Stance:

Support a sustainable peace between Israel and Palestine by increased robust diplomacy and U.S. leadership in order to help the parties achieve a viable two-state solution that results in the creation of a viable contiguous Palestinian state and security guarantees for Israel. We urge your Administration to make economic development in Palestine, including the encouragement of corporate investment, a priority to ensure a sustainable solution to the conflict in the Holy Land.

Lastly, Bishop Hanson takes his strongest stance to date demanding a Palestinian state.

At this important juncture, the U.S. has a new opportunity to demonstrate its support for self-determination and freedom by not standing in the way of the Palestinian application for admission as a Member State of the United Nations. The objective of the initiative at the United Nations is to achieve a two-state solution, an objective we share with your administration. We agree with your statement to the UN last year that those who seek such a solution “… should reach for what's best within ourselves. If we do, when we come back here next year, we can have an agreement that will lead to a new member of the United Nations – an independent, sovereign state of Palestine, living in peace with Israel.” Even so, in the absence of direct negotiations, it is reasonable that the Palestinians and others are turning to the international forum of the UN in an effort to finally realize the goal of an independent Palestinian state. It is my hope the U.S. will act in its own best interest as well as the interest of all people in the region by not blocking the initiative to admit Palestine as a Member State of the United Nations. Global warming presents a terrible and growing threat to the future of God's creation. The most adversely affected will be people living in or near poverty, particularly the more than one billion people living in extreme poverty who already lack access to basic resources, who bear the least responsibility for global warming, and who have limited resources to adapt to future climate-related perils. Increases in drought, flooding and other natural disasters are already beginning to impact core Lutheran ministries around the globe and the U.S. is one of the largest contributors to global warming.

Our church supports the principle of sustainability and policies that provide "an acceptable quality of life for present generations without compromising that of future generations." We urge you to fully support research and investment in clean, renewable energy sources that will both benefit current generations and our environment and ensure that future generations enjoy the same benefits. We urge you to act decisively in response to these challenges:

· Re-engage the United States in the international talks on global warming and ensure full participation by the U.S. in the development and implementation of any new
agreements, leading by proposing legislation that reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 15 to 20 percent by 2020 and at least 80 percent of 2000 levels by the year 2050.

· Focus any supportive resources on low income Americans, who are hardest hit by increases in energy costs, and on increased development assistance to help poor communities around the globe adapt to changes in climate.

· Adopt policies that encourage energy conservation in the federal government, and in American homes, communities, national transportation and distribution systems and commercial enterprises.

· Re-direct valuable research dollars from "clean coal" technology to renewable sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass; and from corn-based to cellulosic ethanol. New sources of energy present an important opportunity for investment and jobs in a struggling rural America.

reduce revenues by $129 billion over the next five years and $1.4 trillion over 10 years. This figure rises to $1.6 trillion when the added interest payments on the debt are taken into account," he said. "Most of the tax benefits go to those with incomes more than sufficient to provide for their 'daily bread,'" Hanson said. "The domestic discretionary programs for people in need did not create the deficit, and the Administration should not be allowed to reduce the deficit solely on their backs," he said. To reduce the federal deficit, both revenue and spending must be "on the table," Hanson said.

The White House named its new council for the faith-based office late on Friday afternoon.

Some big mainline Protestant names here, including Presiding Bishops Hanson and Jefferts Schori of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and Episcopal Church, respectively.

Then this year during the heated debate on Capitol Hill over the National Debt ceiling, Bishop Hanson found time to meet with President Obama to discuss his ideas to protect the massive Government spending programs.

I appeal to President-elect Obama to establish the following priorities for his administration:

· a response to the current economic crisis with special focus on low-income people

· a robust diplomatic effort to restore U.S. credibility abroad

On this day, the people who have infected our nation the last 50 years all came together for one day in what was dubbed “The ONE NATION RALLY”. These are the same people back in the 1960s and/or their offspring that did drugs, had sex, protested wars and developed a strong disdain for all of America’s traditional values. The only difference today, is that they are well organized into large, well-funded, liberal extremist groups. These groups consist of: Anti-War & Peace Activist Groups, Black Power & Black Theology Organizations, Communist & Socialist Organizations, Global Warming & Environmentalists Groups, Feminists & Pro-Abortion Organizations, Gay, Lesbian & Transgender Groups, Pro-Illegal Immigration & Amnesty Groups, Pro-Muslim Groups, and several large Unions. And within these groups, they have used their influence to become: college professors, network anchors, newspaper editors, union leaders, senators, congressmen and even Presidents and Vice Presidents. Picking up from the blog article I wrote a couple weeks ago, I wanted to forward an excellent blog article by Dr. ZERO over at HotAir.com concerning the state of the Republican Party and the overwhelming current success of the grassroots conservative movement. I know many of you have felt as I have the last couple years... screaming at the top of your lungs to GOP leaders or other Republican voters "STOP TRYING TO BE LIKE DEMOCRATS TO WIN ELECTIONS!!!!!!!" Our frustration has mounted as this has continually fallen on deaf ears to many. Case in point, Newt Gingrich scolded Republican voters for not backing liberal pro-gay marriage/pro-abortion GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava in NY-23. The RNC and NRCC gave Scozzafava close to a million bucks for her campaign. And how does she show gratitude to the GOP? Realizing she can't defeat Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman, she drops out of the race and endorses Democrat Bill Owens!!! LOL

(SIDE NOTE: Feel free to hand the RNC a towel to wipe the egg off their face while helping Mega-Ego Newt Gingrich get the foot out of his mouth)

When will these RINO Liberal Appeasement Pushers ever learn? I swear, getting thru to these people is like trying to get Michael Moore to eat a green vegetable.

Well I have great news for everyone! There's no need to pay attention to that man behind the curtain pulling the levers for the GOP anymore. Here we go again. As we approach another election cycle, we are starting to hear the same old tired rhetoric from RINOs preaching to the Republican Party and Conservative Voting base how we must be like Democrats in order to win. I wrote about this very topic on November 6th, 2006 and then again on November 05, 2008. The same Three Stooges that led the Republican party to defeat in 2006 & 2008 are trying to guarantee election losses in 2009 and 2010 as well.

NEWT GINGRICH

Fresh off his Global Warming sofa photo-op with Nancy Pelosi, Newt Gingrich has recently endorsed Dede Scozzafava in NY-23 House race over Reagan conservative Doug Hoffman. Dede Scozzafava is an ACORN-friendly, union-pandering, gay marriage supporting, tax-and-spend radical Republican. Doug Hoffman is fiscal conservative, small government, pro-national security Reagan conservative. The Daily KOS has joined Newt in endorsing the ultra liberal RINO Scozzafava. Meanwhile, Sarah Palin, Fred & Jeri Thompson, Michelle Malkin and many other headline conservatives are supporting Hoffman. Tea Party Patriots have taken notice and are starting to send Newt a loud message. Help send a message also and donate to conservative Doug Hoffman.

LINDSEY GRAHAM

We all recall how Lindsey scolded the Republican party and American conservatives over immigration reform. He threw a hissy fit on the Senate Floor and then at a speech to La Raza said we are a bunch of bigots for not wanting illegal immigrants on our soil and we should shut up. Now, Lindsey Grahamnesty is claiming we need to reach out to liberals and moderates or we will be a party of Angry white guys.

JOHN MCCAIN

We are all familiar with the liberal ass kissing pandering of John McCain by now. Whether it was his voting against Bush Tax Cuts twice, his back stabbing of the GOP on immigration reform, his opposition to drilling for oil and energy independence, his vote for trillions in bailouts or his socialist mortgage bailout proposals. John McCain has aligned himself with his Al Gore admiring buddy Lindsey Graham in paving the way to a massive Cap n Trade bill in the Senate. Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) unveiled a far-reaching climate measure this past week and are counting on McCain and Graham to be on board.

MY CONCLUSIONS

Until the Republican Party decides to weed out this idiotic, big tent, run to left, moderation ideology, they will continue to see embarrassing election losses as they did in 2006 & 2008. The Tea Party movement is a Reaganesque conservative grassroots movement that is fed up with big government, big taxing, big spending politicians whether they are Democrat or Republican. People like John McCain, Lindsey Graham and now Newt Gingrich are exactly the reason the GOP has become an impotent party. How many more election losses will it take until these liberal azz kisser realize their strategy is flawed?

Ronald Reagan said it best on March 1, 1975:

Let us also call for an end to the nit-picking, the harassment and over-regulation of business and industry which restricts expansion and our ability to compete in world markets. Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing government’s coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine. Our banner must recognize the responsibility of government to protect the law-abiding, holding those who commit misdeeds personally accountable. And we must make it plain to international adventurers that our love of peace stops short of “peace at any price.” We will maintain whatever level of strength is necessary to preserve our free way of life. A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers. I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way."

From one of the founders of our nation, these few simple words are as true today as they were when they were first uttered so many years ago. As conservative, democratic and independent Americans gather at town hall meetings across this great nation, they face a barrage of charges and insults from those who would claim the right to judge what makes an American. Here is a compilation as to what Democrats think of town hall dissenters:

The Democratic National Committee ran ads claiming these people are “angry mobs”
Nancy Pelosi says they are people carrying swastikas
Harry Reid accused the protesters of trying to "sabotage" the democratic process
Barbra Boxers claims they are phony protesters because they are well dressed
WH Press Spokesman Robert Gibbs claims they are the "Brooks Brothers Brigade" Astroturfers paid and flown in by the Republican Party
Congressman Dingell says Health Care Reform protesters remind him of Ku Klux Klan members.
UPDATE Aug. 13: Harry Reid today says protesters are are disrupting town halls with "lies, innuendo and rumor," and not letting others speak. They are, he said, "evil-mongers."

Called mobs and Nazis, harassed and threatened for simply voicing their opinions, these everyday Americans have become modern day symbols to what Jefferson was expressing.

A letter written as part of a column in USA Today Nancy Pelosi (D- California) in concert with Steny Hoyer (D-Maryland), charged that those Americans who would exercise their constitutional rights to free speech and expression are "Un-American". The letter states: "These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views -- but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply “Un-American”. What a contrast to the words of Thomas Jefferson, the principal author of the declaration of independence, Vice President and twice elected to the office of President of the United States. I wonder does the arrogant and haughty Madame Pelosi purport to know better than Mr. Jefferson what makes an American? One must wonder if she knows better than the current Secretary of State?

If Jefferson were alive today, can there be any doubt but that he would support the boisterous and vociferous opposition being raised by our citizens? The pending health care bill being advanced by President Obama has sparked heated debate both in the halls of congress and in the churches, libraries and locations throughout America. It is a bill that promises, on its face, to provide health care to all Americans but in reality it's so much more than that. Many of its provisions assault the beliefs and traditions that millions of Americans hold dear. Are those voices not to be heard? Thomas Jefferson again offered us some insight that is truly astounding and nearly prophetic in its intent. "To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical". However, our own President Obama has called those who oppose his healthcare plan, cap and trade energy bill and other legislation “obstructionists". Again I wonder would he level the same charge against Jefferson?

UPDATE August 9th: I had to place this story at top billing today because it boldly crushes the Democrats & Whitehouse claims that the grassroot protests are all paid insurance lobbyists or astroturfers!

I had to inform everyone of a new story I have uncovered concerning SEIU Union thugs shipped in from Massachusetts to attend a supposed town hall with Senator Shaheen. What happened was this... Democratic State Chairman Ray Buckley ordered the use of Obama administration’s political arm Organizing for America to “push back on these thugs.” That then prompted Organizing for America New Hampshire state field director Tim Arsenault to distribute an e-mail around midnight on Wednesday urging Democratic activists to attend a town hall meeting in Grafton, NH with Sen. Jeanne Shaheen at 10:00 AM on Thursday. The email read:

“I wanted to send you an urgent invitation to an important Town Hall with
Sen.Jeanne Shaheen on Thursday morning. She’ll be talking to constituents and
gathering feedback — this is an ideal opportunity to make sure your support
of health insurance reform is seen and heard at exactly the right time to
make a huge difference,” Our representatives are under attack by Washington
insiders, insurance companies, and well-financed special interests who don’t
go a day without spreading lies and stirring up fear. We need to show that
we’re sick and tired of it, and that we’re ready for real change, this

There was one little problem LOL. Senator Shaheen was in DC and was not going to even be at any Town Halls in New Hampshire on Thursday and her staff had to notify that they would field questions in Grafton instead. However, Senator Shaheen did find time Thursday morning to release this Press Release with the headlines "SHAHEEN: ORGANIZED GROUPS SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR INTIMIDATING CONSTITUENTS". Well word got out in the small town of Grafton (pop. 1,138) that she was having a Town Hall so of course local citizens in the area planned to ask her questions in opposition to Obamacare.

Around 30 local protesters to Govt Run Health Care were there but the 2nd video interestingly shows around 7 Pro-Obamacare protesters there for which 4 were wearing the familiar purple T-SHirts. Liberalism & The 2008 DNC Primary (A Match Made in Hell)

I had to laugh this morning. I awoke and decided to turn on the Chris Matthew’s show. I was welcomed to Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell and 3 other liberal media elites arguing over who should be the next President? Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton? Yes you read me right. Who will be the next President not the Democrat nominee LOL. NBC & Chris Matthews decided to do a full timeline of the Democratic Primaries and caucuses as if they were documenting the timeline and rise of Jesus Christ. They even did satire of the movie “Groundhog Day” where Bill Murray has to relive the same day over and over. I guess it was their attempt to show how this primary season keeps going on and on and on and nothing seems to change and how the liberal media elites do not have their decisive leader yet.

Watching this liberal media show made me have a revelation. It made me analyze this entire Democrat Primary process and the entire ideology of liberalism. Everything that is going on in this Democrat Primary is exposing all the massive flaws of liberalism. Let’s examine this further and look at a few examples. First off, liberals despise personal responsibility for their actions. Whether they want to kill an unwanted baby through an abortion or they have a President who waves their finger at 300 million Americans and claims “I did not have sexual relations with that woman!” and a Democrat partisan Senate that decides its ok for a President to lie under oath. Whether they deny their own vote to send men and women to war in IRAQ like Hillary or whether they continually vote to fund the IRAQ war they claim they have always been against like Barrack Obama. Liberals never take personal responsibility for their actions. Look at all their socialist proposals. Hillary wants to put a freeze on mortgage interest rates and also a moratorium on home foreclosures. People who may have a house foreclosed on, do not own a home! They own a LOAN!!! All that is doing is denying responsibility and consequences for irresponsible lenders and borrowers who made horrible financial decisions. Let’s also look Barrack’s or Hillary’s Free Universal Health Care Plans. First off there isn’t one American alive in the USA who is denied Health Care. Any person regardless of income or even legal status who enters an emergency room will be cared for whether they have a dime in their pocket or not. The 47 million people the liberals claim who are uninsured, CHOOSE to be uninsured. Low income earners are already granted Medicaid, SCHIP or other state funded insurance programs. People who CHOOSE not to have Health Insurance can afford it, yet have denied their responsibility and CHOOSE not to purchase it. So whose responsibility is it again????

You may ask, how does this liberal pattern of lack or responsibility relate to the Democratic Presidential Nomination process? Well the Democratic National Committee decided their nomination process and rules quite a long time ago. On February 2, 2007, the Democratic Party published “Call for the 2008 Democratic National Convention”, the rules governing the convention. There will be 3,253 pledged delegates, those committed to vote for a particular candidate, selected by primary voters and caucus participants on predetermined official primary and caucus dates. Under DNC rules, in order to secure the nomination at the convention, a candidate must receive at least 2,025 votes from delegates (a simple majority of the 4,048 delegate votes, bearing in mind half votes from territories) Yet in typical fashion, liberals in Florida & Michigan decided not to follow their own party’s rules. The Florida State legislature (with all 42 Democrats in the House and all 14 Democrats in the Senate voting yes on House Bill 537), decided to move forward the date of their state's primary to January 29th. In response, the Democratic National Committee has ruled that Florida's 210 delegates will not be seated, or, if seated, will not be able to vote, at the National Convention. Furthermore, the DNC has also stated that it will forbid any candidate from receiving Florida delegates should they campaign in the Florida primary. "We have 49 other states as important as Florida is to our democratic process and to our country," said Alexis M. Herman, co-chair of the DNC rules committee. "There is a fairness principle here." Then Michigan moved its primary to January 15, 2008, also in violation of party rules. On December 1, 2007, the Democratic National Committee voted to deny Michigan’s request to hold its primary on January 15 and declared that Michigan’s 157 delegates would not count in the nominating contest unless Michigan moved its primary to a later date. That said, the liberal leaning Michigan Supreme Court ruled that the primary could go ahead as scheduled. The liberal elitists (like the Clintons) are now trying to ignore the DNC rules and consequences they themselves decided and voted on. They are trying to conjure up a way to change the rules in the middle of the game and have Florida and Michigan primary votes be counted. Michigan & Florida did not take responsibility for their primary process and broke the rules! They must now suffer the consequences!! Simple as that!

Let’s take another aspect of liberalism that has exposed itself in the DNC Presidential Nomination process. Liberals and Liberal politicians see themselves as elitists. From Nancy Pelosi to John Kerry to Hillary Clinton to Barrack Obama. They all see themselves as the savior to every Americans problem. They are constantly reminding people how inferior they are. They constantly tell Americans that they have lost in IRAQ or the economy is horrible or you can not afford health care or you can not send your kids to college. They tell you that the only way you can have or accomplish those things is through them and their Government programs. They say they will end the war and bring troops home. They tell you that they will create jobs and they will give you free health care and free college tuitions. You are told time and time again that you can’t accomplish any of that on your own. These liberal elitists think you are too stupid and inferior! They know what is best for you and your family and will lay out all these socialist programs that cost trillions of tax payer dollars! You may ask, how does this liberal pattern of pompous elitism relate to the Democratic Presidential Nomination process? On February 2, 2007, the Democratic Party published “Call for the 2008 Democratic National Convention” The DNC decided there will be 794 unpledged delegates, those free to vote for any candidate, colloquially known as superdelegates. The superdelegates consist of DNC members, Democratic Congress members and Governors, and other prominent Democrats. In other words these are super elitists Democrat politicians who know way more than the American voters. The Democrat National Committee decided that the Democrat registered voters were not smart enough to figure out who was best to be their nominee. They decided that there had to be some super elitist group of people called “SUPER DELEGATES” to have the final decision! If that isn’t the most pompous arrogant thing I have ever heard? Thus far there have been over 35 million registered voters in this year’s Democrat primary. And the DNC elitists have decided that your votes may not count! These super elitist delegates will have the final say!

So in conclusion, Do you think this is what our Founding Fathers had in mind for America? Did John Adams, James Madison and Ben Franklin think that Americans should deny all personal responsibility when they developed the Constitution? Did Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and Robert Morris all think that they knew better than the American people and decide their voice and votes didn’t matter nor count? Liberalism and the Democrat Party are destroying what our Founding Fathers created and what this nation was built on. The question remains…. Will you sit back and let it happen?

CNN Another Plant

I began picking up on Michelle Malkin's recent list of CNN plants and decided to research into another questioner I thought seemed suspicious. It seems my gut feeling was right. David McMillan's question as to why blacks do not vote Republican seemed like another liberal planted question to create devisiveness like the Clinton planted Retired Brig. Gen./ "gays in the military" lobbyist or the CAIR planted "why do Muslims hate us" questioner. What I have discovered is David McMillan has attended John Edwards campaign events, is associated with anti-Bush civil rights lawyer and author Glenn Greenwald , Politico blogger James Kotecki and according to his blog bio page he has done work for the NAACP.

David Bohrman, executive producer of CNN's debate, said "Most questions online have been pulled from public viewing for review, but many of the remaining posts involve asking the candidates to defend their opposition to gay marriage and abortion. Those kinds of “lobbying grenades” would be disqualified by the CNN selection team." My question then is... If David Bohrman is the executive producer and has full control over the debate question selections then why did he allow 6 lobbying grenades into the debate? 1. Abortion 2. Gays in Military 3. Log Cabin Obama supporter 4. Muslim CAIR Intern 5. Confederate Flag/Racism undertone 6. Union lobbyist over China trade. And if David Bohrman said he chose not to add James Kotecki’s video question because he is a Politico blogger then why would he add his best friend David McMillan's question? Also if he was able to uncover that James Kotecki blogged for Politico, how could he not know Retiree Brig. Gen. Keith H. Kerr worked on Hillary Clinton's steering committee or Yasmin was an intern for CAIR or Journey was a John Edwards supporter or LeeAnn Anderson was a Pittsburgh Steel union activist?

I guess he rather decided to run on the continued planting trends from the last CNN Democrat debate.

I find it truly absurd and appalling that the Anti-Christian Hollywood groups are at it again. Isn’t it ironic that every Lenten season as we approach the remembrance of Christ’s resurrection that these new conspiracy theories erupt? It’s that time of year again. Hollywood elites just wrapped up their Academy gala of $10,000 dresses, limousines, private jets, Roederer Cristal champagne and annual round robin of pats on the back. And since Al Gore mentioned the OSCARS has gone green. I’m curious as to how environmentally friendly those fur coats, leather shoes, private jets, diamond mines, limousines, victory cigars and 2 million camera flashes were to the critical fight to stop Global Warming? I digress.
Back to the subject at hand, first we had the full out assault on Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” and the blatant snub by the OSCARS. Sure Hollywood loves a great Homosexual Cowboy Movie by nominating it for 8 OSCARS including BEST PICTURE or a great Pseudo-Science movie about GLOBAL WARMING and awarding it 2 OSCARS. We have all witnessed the huge firestorm of conspiracy & controversy The DaVinci Code book & movie created. Hollywood liberals and media immediately jumped on the story to pass it off as reality and truth while simultaneously hiding the fact it was a novel and thus pure fiction. Anyhow, it created such interest that book sold 40 million copies worldwide, including 12 million hardback versions in the US alone. To people with moderate intelligence, it was easy to conclude that this novel was based on a variety of Agnosticism, history revisionism and liberal beliefs that are in direct opposition to Christianity. Hollywood liberal agnostics have for long been attempting to diminish the existence of Jesus Christ. They have adopted the well-known defense attorney tactics of throwing out as many conspiracies and theories as possible in hopes something will eventually stick and sway public opinion. The past couple years the agnostic’s claim was that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. They dreamt up a theory by trying to decipher what Leonardo DaVinci’s “The Last Supper” really depicted. Again, anyone with any moderate intelligence would easily conclude by reviewing DaVinci’s past works, would see that Renaissance artists usually depicted men as looking very effeminate.

Once again in OSACR/LENTEN timing, there is a current firestorm starting to gain legs regarding the most recent claims in a documentary by "Titanic" director James Cameron and Israel-born Simcha Jacobovici. In this new released agnostic drivel, Cameron & Associates claim the burial site of Jesus has been found and suggests he had a wife and son. In this new conspiracy theory, Hollywood director James Cameron displayed on Monday artifacts that he said might have come from the tomb of Jesus, which once contained his remains, those of Mary Magdalene, and possibly their son, Judah. I guarantee this story will gain legs by the Hollywood/Liberal MSM in the days to come. They are using the same tactics as the DaVinci conspiracy to hopefully sway enough wavering Christians to change their minds and finally start praying to the god of liberalism. Don’t be duped!!! Their agenda is clear: that Christianity is a violent and bloody lie, that the Catholic Church is a sinister and misogynist institution, and the truth is ultimately the creation and product of each person. Ann Coulter & Newt Gingrich were right, Liberalism is their god and there for they are eternally GODLESS! Could you imagine the Hollywood liberals or MSM making such absurd conspiracy claims against Islam or Muhammad? Mr. Cameron already won several OSCARS for "Tiatanic". I'm sure by this time next year, the Academy will boldly award this documentary which is a "Titanic of Lies".

There are 231 Million People or 77% of the US Population that are Christians. Ask yourself: Why are 77% of Americans or 231 Million people sitting silent and allowing their religious freedom and expression to erode? Why did 44% of Protestants, 55% of Catholics and 87% of Jews vote for Democrats in 2006 knowing they support Gay Marriage, Stem Cell Cloning & Partial Birth Abortions? We as Christians have an obligation and duty to be disciples and spread the truth while upholding God’s Laws, the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and the integrity of our religion. True American Patriots (Part 2)

Earlier this week, I posted a story on a 69 year old veteran named Burt Brady. We have discussed many times in our AOL debate room "Conservs vs Liberals", especially prior to the 2006 election, the necessity and duty we each have as Conservative God Loving Patriotic Citizens. I know I have stressed, to sometimes no avail, the huge consequences we face as Americans if we allow liberals to win the election, control a majority in the House & Senate, hijack our Constituion, and then appease terrorists and our enemies. Well unfortunately, my election predictions came true. Now the evidence is clearer than ever as to what the liberal strategies are as they unfold within this recent majority party. After much frustration and anger dealing with the November elections, I now feel its more crucial than ever to pick up the fight and struggle for our freedom, our lives and even our nations future existance. You may ask yourself: What can I possibly do, I am just 1 of 300 million Americans? How can I possibly make any impact? How can I possibly stop the Democrats and this extreme liberal agenda? The answer is quite simple: WHATEVER YOU CAN. And to prove this point, I would like to point out a story I heard from an admirable conservative and one of our chat members strmclouds@aol.com. Once I heard this story of conservative patriotic courage and learned of its results, I had asked STRM if I could share this story to other conservatives so they could see just how simple it is to do our part. With that being said, I would love if each of you could take 5 minutes and read this great example:

Last week the US House passed a non-binding resolution against the introduction of additional US forces into Iraq. Along with the Democratic majority 17 Republicans crossed party lines to vote for the resolution. This week, Senate Democrats are proposing legislation that will handcuff the President and US Troops to only fight the war on terror against whom they see as the enemy, which is basically no one. These are yet other examples of the loss of Conservative values so prevalent in the Republican Party today. As Democrats increase their public and private rhetoric against the war, the GOP continues its retreat from conservative values and continues to recoil from any effort to stand up for what they supposedly believe in. This abandonment of conservative principles has shown itself many times over the past couple of years. From the White House, to the halls of Congress, to the conservative voters themselves, a retreat from the traditional conservative principles is well under way and gaining momentum.

Many times I hear the lament of friends and others asking: Why doesn’t the GOP stand up for the ideas they embrace? Why are they not willing to criticize their elected representatives? Why do they seem unwilling to take any responsibility for the issue themselves? Why are they content to merely point the finger at GOP politicians and complain about the Democrats? It is this lack of conviction and unwillingness to take an active role in their lives and government, that lies at the very heart of the matter. What has happened to the conservative value of self-reliance? We as conservatives expect our politicians to speak out on our behalf yet we shun opportunity to speak out for ourselves in our everyday lives. As the Democrats become more vociferous pounding their mantra with the help of the powerful and decidedly liberal media, conservative voters continue to rely on their power as “ the silent majority”. The November 2006 elections were an example of this, as many conservative voters either stayed home in protest of the politicians they were disappointed in or the misguided belief that the GOP would win simply by virtue of its superior message and ideals. And even more ironic, so many seemed shocked by the outcome. The Democrats were able to capitalize on this silence to paint conservatives in the light of their choosing with predictable results. Sadly these same conservatives still seem willing to sit idly by with only the slightest and most private complaints, as the Democrats joined by more and more Republicans continue to dismantle the idea of Conservatism.

I have watched this trend grow and take shape and as a conservative who strongly believes in the self-reliance that has served America so well throughout her history, I have resolved to personally take a stand. I concluded that to vote my convictions was not enough anymore. That to call myself a conservative was more than just a label but indeed a badge of honor. To stand for what is right in the world, to protect and preserve the values that I claimed for so long to hold dear, to call myself conservative but to remain part of “ the silent majority” was to guarantee the end of those values in America. So I began to take an active role in any way that I could. I joined political chat rooms, not merely to rant and argue with Liberals but to learn more about the values I purported to embrace. I wrote letters to editors of newspapers and to my representatives. I wrote blogs for conservative sites on the Internet attempting in some small way to contribute to the advancement of conservative ideas. I have struggled to become a better conservative and indeed a better American. From participating in Parent teacher association meetings at the local schools, to joining with my conservative friends online to engage and discuss the ideas we shared. Recently, an opportunity to take a personal stand and the chance to get on a personal level and show my commitment to my beliefs and my new resolve, presented itself.
My son attends the 4th grade at our local elementary school and as a parent I try to take an active an interested role in his schooling. One day recently, he returned home from school visibly upset and it was clear something was bothering him. I sat him down and asked him what the trouble was and was wholly unprepared for his response. My sons 4th grade science teacher had engaged the class in a discussion about Global warming. The teacher had apparently informed the class that global warming was the direct result of mans activities and that if people did not take immediate measures to improve the situation the outlook for humanity was very dark and grim. I was outraged that a teacher would use such scare tactics to promote their ideology with a room full of children who were without the benefit of alternative opinions and in effect a captive audience. The fact that my son’s teacher would even discuss something like Global warming was unimaginable to me. A quick check of my son’s science book revealed that this issue was not a part of the normal curriculum of the class. To see my 9 yr old son so frightened and feeling guilty over the incident gave me the courage to call the school immediately and request a conference with the teacher and the schools vice principal. I spent a couple of days collecting information to utilize in the conference and even took a day off of work in order to attend. The details of the meeting are unimportant but what matters most was that I was able to take a stance on the things I believe in. I engaged the teacher on many issues but to me the principle issue was one of keeping political ideology and Liberal mantra out of the classroom where it has no place. After an hour of back and forth, it was satisfying to hear the vice principal agree with the crux of my argument. He admitted that schooling should be about facts and not about ideology. I obtained a promise from the VP, that in the future, classroom discussion would be limited in scope and strive to present things in their true light and not as cold facts regardless of whether the issue being liberal or conservative.
Perhaps it was a small victory, but I believe it was an important one. The slow erosion of conservatism is due in large part to the fact that we are unable and/or unwilling to take these small stands for what we believe in. The question is how do we admonish our GOP leadership for their failure to fight back and stand up for us if we as individuals will not do the same? Do we not all share responsibility for the future of our movement and our country? The war for our principles is not won in one big fight but in the thousands of little ones fought and waged everyday in schools, offices and homes all across America. I am reminded of something a friend of mine once said to me and that I actually used as a title to a blog I wrote. “Evil prevails when good men do nothing”. The words have never ringed truer than they do today and I urge conservatives to take them to heart. Take a stand for what you believe in and remember that it is our voices and our values we want our leaders to promote. If we do not raise our voices everyday, the only thing our leadership will hear is the silence and their courage and convictions will waiver. I wanted to post this video from ABC’s evening news profiling the Person of the Week. The person chosen in this episode is 69 year old veteran Burt Brady of Texas. Burt and his patriotic friends go to the Dallas airport every singe day to welcome our armed forces home from Iraq and Afghanistan. This is probably one of the most heart wrenching and uplifting stories I have ever seen. Just think if every American got behind our Troops and Commander in Chief in this fashion? Mr. Brady and his friends are the epitome of TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS. GOD BLESS AMERICA

Dire Consequences

Tomorrow is November 7th.. ELECTION DAY. To many people it may just be another Autumn Tuesday where they go to work and if they have time or if the weather is nice, they may possibly stop off and vote. But after you wake up tomorrow morning, I want you to remember another Autumn Tuesday morning. This particular Tuesday morning, thousands of people went to work in New York City, Washington D.C., or boarded a routine flight at Boston Logan Airport or Newark International Airport. That day 2,973 Americans went to work thinking it was just another routine Autumn Tuesday morning not knowing this would be their last day alive. They were not aware of any of the consequences of entering the World Trade Center buildings. They were not aware of the consequences of entering the Pentagon building. They were not aware of the consequences of boarding (United Airlines Flight 175, (American Airlines Flight 77), (United Airlines Flight 93) and American Airlines Flight 11). That Autumn Tuesday was of course September 11, 2001. That day 290 Million Americans woke up not realizing the consequences of their actions or inactions. That was just over 5 years ago. So when you wake up tomorrow, Tuesday morning November 7th, 2006, ask yourself these very questions: "Will my actions or inactions have any future consequences?" Will my not voting or who I vote for have any future consequences?" But before you answer that, I would like you to read on.

The intentions of this article are not to anger people but to relate a love and passion for this great country and our fellow Americans, I'm sure we all share. Many philosophers have written about fear being a great motivator. Unfortunately, many situations can arise in our lifetimes where that fear becomes a reality and we must make a drastic decision that could either save or end our lives. Many people ready to vote may not see the stark contrasts between DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS. But these differences are night and day. If the Democrats gain power, they will control every House Committees and be able to enact or block whatever legislation they want from getting to the floor.

What if DEMOCRATS win? Will there be any consequences?

Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, is a Representative with a pure 100% Liberal voting record. She would become Speaker of the House and control the entire agenda that goes to the floor of the House of Representatives. She would have the sole authority to create Select House Committees and choose Select Committee Chairman. She could create any Select Committee she so chooses to investigate President Bush or Republicans on any issue she wants such as IRAQ, GITMO Detainees, NSA Surveillance, Terrorist Interrogations etc. Nancy Pelosi is so convinced she will become Speaker of the House that she recently said: "I'll have any suite I want." "This is a freak show, and it has to come to an end"

John Conyers, Democrat of Michigan, would become Chairman of House Judiciary Committee and would bring Impeachment Hearings against President Bush under his already proposed H.RES.635, and also hold judicial hearings to investigate 1) intent to go to war before congressional authorization; (2) manipulation of pre-war intelligence; (3) encouragement and countenancing of torture; and (4) retaliation against critics. Conyers had 37 Democratic Co-Sponsors to this bill to start Impeachment Hearings.

Obey, Democrat of Wisconsin, would become Chairman of House Appropriations Committee which would withdraw all appropriations for troops in IRAQ & AFGHANISTANTAN forcing a full Cut n Run withdrawal. Obey voted against both the 1991 Gulf War Resolution H J RES 77 and the 2002 Iraq Military Authorization Act H J RES 114 . Obey's committee would cut off all appropriations for military actions in IRAQ which would force President Bush to withdraw all United State forces serving in IRAQ without ever needing a floor vote in Congress. This is the exact same strategy Democrats in the House used to force Ronald Reagan withdrawal of Marines in Beirut after the 1983 Marine barracks bombing. This strategy became very effective because DEMOCRATS can force a President to withdraw troops by cutting their appropriations without even having and up or down floor vote.

Charlie Rangel already has a voting record and would NEVER allow an extension of BUSH TAX Cuts to leave his Committee, thus he will raise every single tax that is listed above without even allowing the measures to the Floor for a full vote. Charlie Rangel also co-sponsored H.RES.635 which is an investigation into the IMPEACHMENT of President Bush.

The new cry from the left and doves around the world is: "..America is killing innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan". The numbers have run as high as 650,000 and as low as 30,000 . The fact that, even in today's high tech battlefield, many civilians will die is a sad and unavoidable reality. The history of war has always been that the civilian population will nearly always suffer the majority of casualties in a conflict . Certainly it is arguable that in an insurgency or a civil war those numbers are likely to rise due to the fact the conflict is prosecuted mainly in areas of population where life attempts to continue even amidst the carnage.
The statement that " innocent " civilians die however gives me pause. How would one calculate the numbers of truly innocent civilians vs. those who aid and assist the enemy in many ways. These may range from simple silence to hiding weapons and combatants to actively participating in the fighting. In a war such as Iraq, where the enemy and the civilian population are nearly indistinguishable from one another,this number proves even harder to quantify.
Muslims around the world are constantly berating us with the fact that they are by and large a peaceful people practicing a peaceful religion. However, I have yet to see the massive protests of terrorism and insurgent violence so common in the Muslim world when they are celebrating a successful terrorist attack on the west or denouncing Israel. Where are these innocent peaceful Muslims? When Al-Zarqawi was killed in Iraq, the credit goes to an informant giving away his location. Saddam's sons Uday and Qusay were caught the same way. Why does this not happen everyday? Are we to believe that no one knows who these insurgents are? No one knows in which houses the IED's are produced? There is no witnesses to the bombs being planted or the snipers lying in wait?
Many will say that is due to the people fearing for their lives and no doubt this is true. Surely standing up and singling someone out may very well get you killed. However they are dying by the thousands anyway and no matter what estimate you take into account. We keep asking the Iraqi people to stand up and yet we defend their right to silence. Were the German people not responsible in part for the holocaust? They stood silent as thousands of people all over Germany were rounded up and sent to concentration camps. Their fear of personal suffering and resulting silence led to a national suffering that was expressed first in the Holocaust and then by the relentless destruction wrought upon Germany as the war turned against her. So silence out of fear does not make you an innocent.
There are also many people in Iraq dying in secular violence between Sunni, Shia and Kurds. This violence has begun to surpass dramatically the violence directly involving coalition forces. Many of those participating in the violence have never directly participated in an attack on US forces. However, they are fighting a religious driven civil war. They also serve to increase the level of overall deaths in the country and complicate the mission of providing security to the nation. American and Iraqi forces are attempting to defeat the terrorists such as Al Queda and at the same time quell a rising tide of religious violence by the peaceful followers of Mohammed. These people who participate in the religious violence are certainly not innocents and they have added dramatically to the numbers of civilian deaths which are ironically being attributed to U.S. forces.
Our soldiers are characterized as terrorists and cold blooded killers by members of our own government. Accused of torture, brutality and terrorizing the Iraqi citizenry. We must realize that the reasons Iraq continues to be a blood bath is because these innocent civilians keep refusing to assist the US and coalition forces for many reasons other than fear. How many just want to see dead US soldiers? How many are actively wanting the US to lose so they and their comrades can pursue their own goals? The fact that Islam continues to be the main driving force in Iraqi loyalty is by far outweighing any sense of national pride or shared history. One need only look at the fact that Muslims are always talking peace and yet perpetually waging war. They react with astonishing fury to any perceived insult by waging war, the threat of war or outright murder.
Please don't misunderstand the horrors of war are real and many. Many very good and decent people have died in Iraq. People who believed in the chance for democracy and innocent children have all been sacrificed in the flames of conflict. This is something we all abhor. The power to prevent more deaths, the ability to stop the violence and stop the killing lies not with the number of US forces on the ground but with the Iraqis themselves. It is their choice to remain silent and fearful. Their choice to prosecute tribal and religious wars within the conflict. They have the blood of innocents on their hands more so than anyone else. This war could end in 6 months if the Iraqi people exercised their courage, determination and power. They must stand up and say enough! They must end their silence so this war can end and bring this brutal ugly chapter of Iraqi history to a close.

It has become quite amusing that since the War on Terrorism hit its climax on September 11, 2001, all we have heard from the hysterical left are cries that President Bush is over stepping his grounds as Commander in Chief. They say he is abusing his executive powers; that he is ignoring the constitution. Thus, as recent developments have shown us, it is without question that President Bush happens to be the ONLY one respecting the limits of his authority spelled out in the constitution.
To further explain this example of misguided claims, all we need to do is take a look at the Hamdan vs Rumsfeld case recently decided by the United States Supreme Court.
It is clearly understood that Congress and Congress alone sets the jurisdiction of the federal courts of our nation. If one were thoughtful enough to keep up with current events they would have known that in December of 2005, congress passed the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005 . Within that act, the legislative branch in tune with the constitution as noted in Article III, specifically reads:
2) REVIEW OF DECISIONS OF COMBATANT STATUS REVIEW TRIBUNALS OF PROPRIETY OF DETENTION
(A) IN GENERAL- Subject to subparagraphs (B), (C), and (D), the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine the validity of any final decision of a Combatant Status Review Tribunal that an alien is properly detained as an enemy
(B) LIMITATION ON CLAIMS The jurisdiction of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit under this paragraph shall be limited to claims brought by or on behalf of an alien
i) who is, at the time a request for review by such court is filed, detained by the Department of Defense at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and
ii) for whom a Combatant Status Review Tribunal has been conducted, pursuant to applicable procedures specified by the Secretary of Defense

Now for those of us who pay attention, we know this case was already decided at the US Court of Appeals and it was ruled in favor of the Government. (Hamdan v. Rumsfeld. 415 F.3d 33, 367 USApp.DC). We can also note in the citation above that this particular court according to the statute passed, had exclusive authority on matters concerning combatants held in Guantanamo Bay. Also if you go on to read the statute a bit further you will come across the following:
(e) Except as provided in section 1005 of the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005, no court, justice, or judge shall have jurisdiction to hear or consider-- (1) an application for a writ of habeas corpus filed by or on behalf of an alien detained by the Department of Defense at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; or (2) any other action against the United States or its agents relating to any aspect of the detention by the Department of Defense of an alien at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, who (A) is currently in military custody; or (B) has been determined by the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in accordance with the procedures set forth in section 1005(e) of the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005 to have been properly detained as an enemy combatant.
In basic laymen's terms this is translated as follows: The US Court of Appeals has the final say on this according to the jurisdiction put forth by congress. The United States Supreme Court is not even allowed to meddle in its decision, or any other federal court for that matter.
Yet just by agreeing to hear the case as an appeal from the US Court of Appeals, the USSC chose to ignore the limits placed on it by Congress, which in itself is a clear violation of its boundaries. Where are the cries that the Judicial Branch is abusing its powers?

I have often mentioned the Clinton Presidency and its Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell policy dealing with terrorism during his tenure. We experienced 6 major Al Qaeda/ Hezbollah terrorist attacks during his leadership and not one of those attacks was received as an Act of War against the people of the United States. Six Major Terrorist attacks against the United States and not ONE IMMEDIATE RETALIATION or MILITARY RESPONSE!!! Rather, each terrorist attack was treated as if Inspector Jacques Clouseau were investigating a behm (bomb) going off in a hotel rheum (room). Let’s analyze each attack and each response or shall I say non-response of the Clinton Administration:

1993 WORLD TRADE CENTER BOMBING

February 26, 1993: Six people killed and about a thousand injured after a truck bomb explodes in the basement of the World Trade Center towers in New York.

CLINTON RESPONSE: President Clinton didn’t even visit New York City nor address the nation the day of this terrorist attack. Not until the following day, did he mention the attacks in his weekly radio address. President Clinton spent all of 70 seconds discussing the attack and then launched into his tax hike economic plan.
The purported mastermind of the plot, Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, wasn’t captured until two years after the attacks on February 7, 1995 and was arrested by Pakistani intelligence not by Clinton’s CIA or FBI. Yousef was extradited and finally convicted of the bombing in November 1997, and also sentenced to life in prison. In court, Yousef said, "I am a terrorist, and I am proud of it.” In 1997, Osama bin Laden said during an interview that he did not know Yousef. Yousef's uncle Khalid Shaikh Mohammed allegedly took part in launching the September 11 Terrorist Attacks.

1993 SOMALIA BLACKHAWK DOWN
President Bush 41 had sent U.S. forces into Somalia in December 1992 to aid the United Nations in relieving a massive famine. On May 5th, 1993, just 4 months into his presidency, Bill Clinton declared “Mission Accomplished” in a speech declaring: “On behalf of all the American people, I say to you, General, and to all whom you brought with you: Welcome home, and thank you for a job very, very well done.” Shortly thereafter, with no U.S. deterrent, Somalia's warlords began fighting again and initiated a series of bloody attacks on U.N. peacekeepers.

October 3, 4 1993: President Clinton launched a new mission and sent in a force of Rangers and Special Forces units to capture the brutal warlord Mohammad Farrah Aidid and restore order. That force asked for heavy armor--in the form of Abrams tanks and Bradley armored vehicles--as well as the AC-130 gunship, but the Clinton Administration denied those requests. On October 3 on a mission to pick up Aidid, two Black Hawks were unexpectedly shot down. Eighteen American soldiers are attacked and killed in Mogadishu, Somalia. A U.S. indictment later charged bin Laden and his followers with training the attackers. This is the incident described in the movie Black Hawk Down.

CLINTON RESPONSE: President Clinton aborted the mission. The U.S. released the criminals it had captured that same day at such great cost, and the U.N., lacking U.S. support, was powerless to keep order.

In a 1997 interview with CNN’s Peter Arnet, Osama Bin Laden went on to explain the Mogadishu uprising as a key turning point for his movement and the defeat of Americans: “We learned from those who fought there, that they were surprised to see the low spiritual morale of the American fighters in comparison with the experience they had with the Russian fighters. The Americans ran away from those fighters who fought and killed them, while the latter were still there. If the U.S. still thinks and brags that it still has this kind of power even after all these successive defeats in Vietnam, Beirut, Aden, and Somalia, then let them go back to those who are awaiting its return.

1995 RIYADH U.S. MILITARY HEADQUARTERS BOMBING
November 13, 1995: Five US soldiers and two Indian nationals are killed and more than 60 people wounded when a car bomb explodes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

CLINTON RESPONSE: NONE!! He gave this 2 sentence remark later that afternoon after hearing of the attacks.

1996 KHOBAR TOWER BOMBING

June 25, 1996: Nineteen killed and 386 wounded when a truck bomb explodes at the US military base of Khobar near the town of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia.

CLINTON RESPONSE: I’ll let President Clinton’s own FBI Director Louis Freeh explain this one: On June 25, 1996, Iran again attacked America at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, exploding a huge truck bomb that devastated Khobar Towers and murdered 19 U.S. airmen as they rested in their dormitory. These young heroes spent every day risking their lives enforcing the no-fly zone over southern Iraq; that is, protecting Iraqi Shiites from their own murderous tyrant. When I visited this horrific scene soon after the attack, I watched dozens of dedicated FBI agents combing through the wreckage in 120-degree heat, reverently handling the human remains of our brave young men. More than 400 of our Air Force men and women were wounded in this well-planned attack, and I was humbled by their courage and spirit. I later met with the families of our lost Khobar heroes and promised that we would do whatever was necessary to bring these terrorists to American justice. The courage and dignity these wonderful families have consistently exemplified has been one of the most powerful experiences of my 26 years of public service.
The FBI's investigation of the Khobar attack was extraordinarily persistent, indeed relentless. Our fallen heroes and their families deserve nothing less. Working in close cooperation with the White House, State Department, CIA and Department of Defense, I made a series of trips to Saudi Arabia beginning in 1996. FBI agents opened an office in Riyadh and aligned themselves closely with the Mabaheth, the kingdom's antiterrorist police. Over the course of our investigation the evidence became clear that while the attack was staged by Saudi Hezbollah members, the entire operation was planned, funded and coordinated by Iran's security services, the IRGC and MOIS, acting on orders from the highest levels of the regime in Tehran.
In order to return an indictment and bring these terrorists to American justice, it became essential that FBI agents be permitted to interview several of the participating Hezbollah terrorists who were detained in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the interviews was to confirm--with usable, co-conspirator testimonial evidence--the Iranian complicity that Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan and the Mabaheth had already relayed to us. (For the record, the FBI's investigation only succeeded because of the real cooperation provided by Prince Bandar and our colleagues in the Mabaheth.) FBI agents had never before been permitted to interview firsthand Saudis detained in the kingdom.
Unfortunately, the White House was unable or unwilling to help the FBI gain access to these critical witnesses. The only direction from the Clinton administration regarding Iran was to order the FBI to stop photographing and fingerprinting official Iranian delegations entering the U.S. because it was adversely impacting our "relationship" with Tehran. We had argued that the MOIS was using these groups to infiltrate its agents into the U.S.
After months of inaction, I finally turned to the former President Bush, who immediately interceded with Crown Prince Abdullah on the FBI's behalf. Mr. Bush personally asked the Saudis to let the FBI do one-on-one interviews of the detained Khobar bombers. The Saudis immediately acceded. After Mr. Bush's Saturday meeting with the Crown Prince in Washington, Ambassador Wyche Fowler, Dale Watson, the FBI's excellent counterterrorism chief, and I were summoned to a Monday meeting where the crown prince directed that the FBI be given direct access to the Saudi detainees. This was the investigative breakthrough for which we had been waiting for several years.
Mr. Bush typically disclaimed any credit for his critical intervention but he earned the gratitude of many FBI agents and the Khobar families. I quickly dispatched the FBI case agents back to Saudi Arabia, where they interviewed, one-on-one, six of the Hezbollah members who actually carried out the attack. All of them directly implicated the IRGC, MOIS and senior Iranian government officials in the planning and execution of this attack. Armed with this evidence, the FBI recommended a criminal indictment that would identify Iran as the sponsor of the Khobar bombing. Finding a problem for every solution, the Clinton administration refused to support a prosecution.
The prosecution and criminal indictment for these murders had to wait for a new administration. In February 2001, working with exactly the same evidence but with a talented new prosecutor, James B. Comey Jr. (now U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York), Attorney General John Ashcroft's personal intervention, and White House support, the case was presented to a grand jury. On June 21, 2001, only four days before some of the terrorist charges would have become barred by the five-year statute of limitations, the grand jury indicted 13 Hezbollah terrorists for the Khobar attack and identified Iran as the sponsor.
Nonetheless, the terrorists who murdered 19 U.S. airmen and wounded hundreds more have yet to be brought to American justice. Whenever U.S. diplomats hold talks with representatives of Iran's Islamic government, Khobar Towers should be the top item on their agenda. The arrest and turnover to U.S. authorities of Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Mughassil and Ali Saed bin Ali Al-Houri, two of the indicted Hezbollah leaders of the Khobar attack believed to be in Iran, should be part of any "normalization" discussion. Furthermore, access and accountability by IRGC, MOIS and other senior Iranian government leaders for their complicity in the attack should be nonnegotiable.

2 U.S. Embassies in Africa Bombed

August 7, 1998: 224 people killed and over 5000 injured, mostly Africans, when US embassies in Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam in east Africa are bombed.

CLINTON RESPONSE: The comparatively restrained response of the Clinton Administration, at the time embroiled in the Lewinsky scandal, was twofold: militarily and economically. To retaliate on an economic level, President Clinton signed Executive Order 13099 on August 20, 1998 that prohibited transactions with terrorists who threatened to disrupt the Middle East peace process. 13099 further alleged that bin Laden and the Islamic Army Organization were the perpetrators of the attacks on the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The executive order attempted to freeze assets owned by bin Laden and al Qaeda and stipulated that U.S. citizens and firms could not do business with them. President Clinton ordered Operation Infinite Reach, a series of cruise missile strikes on terrorist targets in Sudan and Afghanistan on August 20, 1998, announcing the planned strike in a primetime address on American television. Within days of Operation Infinite Reach, Western engineers who had visited or been associated with the plant, as well as Sudanese officials, doctors, lawyers and plant employees insisted that Al Shifa was a working pharmaceutical plant and not a terrorist operational site.
NOTE: I guess President Clinton decided to kill Al Qaeda terrorists with massive migraine headaches since he bombed an Aspirin Factory and by taking their money away to buy pharmaceuticals elsewhere!

2000 U.S.S. Cole Bombing

October 12, 2000: 17 US sailors killed and 38 injured when a suicide attack on USS Cole in Aden is carried out. In any ordinary administration, this would have been considered an act of war. After all, America entered the Spanish-American war and World War I when our ships were attacked.

CLINTON RESPONSE: NONE!! Counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke had ordered his staff to review existing intelligence in relation to the bombing of the USS Cole. After that review, he and Michael Sheehan, the State Department's counterterrorism coordinator, were convinced it was the work of Osama bin Laden. The Pentagon had on-the-shelf, regularly updated and detailed strike plans for bin Laden's training camps and strongholds in Afghanistan.At a meeting with Secretary of Defense William Cohen, Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Attorney General Janet Reno, and other staffers, Clarke was the only one in favor of retaliation against bin Laden. Reno thought retaliation might violate international law and was therefore against it. Tenet wanted to more definitive proof that bin Laden was behind the attack, although he personally thought he was. Albright was concerned about the reaction of world opinion to a retaliation against Muslims, and the impact it would have in the final days of the Clinton Middle East peace process. Cohen, according to Clarke, did not consider the Cole attack "sufficient provocation" for a military retaliation. Michael Sheehan was particularly surprised that the Pentagon did not want to act. He told Clarke: "What's it going to take to get them to hit al Qaeda in Afghanistan? Does al Qaeda have to attack the Pentagon?" Instead of destroying bin Laden's terrorist infrastructure and capabilities, President Clinton twice phoned the president of Yemen demanding better cooperation between the FBI and the Yemeni security services. If Clarke's plan had been implemented, al Qaeda's infrastructure would have been demolished and Bin Laden might well have been killed. Sept. 11, 2001 might have been just another sunny day.

Thinking back to the days following September 11th, we remember the images of both Republicans and Democrats standing together vowing to stay united. Our nation was launched into an unprecedented war following the worst attack America had ever suffered from a foreign enemy in our history. But as time separated us from that day, we realized just who the people were that meant what they said then and those who felt the way they did purely out of emotional politics.

We can say officially today with resounding measure, backed by a congressional vote, that there is a faction within this country that does not want the United States to prevail in this global war on terrorism. The actions of the Democrat Party over the past couple of years has illustrated to us with clear and convincing evidence, they are a party who is more contempt with gaining power than they are with being victorious in this unprecedented battle. Liberal politicians that consider their favorable status from far left-wing political groups, who have invested in American defeat since their birth, more important than the overall good of the nation have made themselves known by leading the way with a cooperating media amplifying their cause.

From accusations of twisting intelligence, to what knee jerk Congressmen Murtha called the "cold blooded murder of innocent civilians by our Marines", we have seen and heard a chorus of irresponsible emotional outbursts much to the delight of our enemies and their cooperating propaganda institutions such as Al Jazeera. All this for the sole purpose of rallying their left wing political base and to help catapult them into a position of political power while neglecting the extreme danger posed upon us in these times. Just this morning, we learned of an abandoned plot by Al Qaeda to attack our New York City subway system with hydrogen cyanide gas. This subway system carries an approximate of seven million riders each day. This plot, although abandoned, was discovered back in 2003. Yet we remember it was the ACLU of New York who filed pending lawsuits against the NYPD for its program of random searches of those entering the subway. The ACLU, along with the usual crowd, screamed it was in violation of the 4th Amendment of the constitution. Just think of the ramifications of the largest subway system in the world, who's trains are used by more people than the total population of most cities, is attacked using a poisonous gas at the height of rush hour. Do you really think for one moment the far left-wing groups, their political puppets in congress and their cohorts in the mainstream media will ever stop to say?: "Well at least our version of constitutional rights were protected." Do you think they will continue to be totally satisfied with using the often repeated quote once used by Benjamin Franklin?: "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Not a chance!! Instead we will be bombarded for calls of impeachment of the president, whose hands they are constantly trying to tie.

Can any of you believe for one moment, after the politically inspired 911 Commission Investigation, the likes of a Sen. Feingold and a Sen. Specter would ever say?: " Well at least the national security agency did not violate the rights of would be suspects half way across the world by listening in on their telephone conversations without a warrant". Of course not! They would be focusing on more important matters inspired by Michael Moore fans, for example: Why did the president wear a red tie when he should have worn a blue one? National Security does not mean a thing to these people because they have too much invested in groups that are bent on hating the United States and would like nothing better than a defeated super power. Due to the likes of Howard Dean and company, these radical left-wing groups are now in control of the purse that bankrolls the new DNC. Nothing is more evident than the recent debate, if you want to call it that, over the current situations in Iraq. Never in the history of the United States has their been such a heated attempt to undermine the United States military during a time of war. Comparisons are made to the Vietnam era, but Vietnam was not a war that we became engaged in after an attack and the death of over 3,000 Americans. There are those who say Iraq did not attack us on September 11th. However, it was clear to us on September 12th, even to those in opposition to today's situation, that the war we were about to be engaged in was just as much about preventing future attacks as much as it was about responding to a specific attack.

Finally, there are those who say "Iraq was not a threat to us". They also pretend that we have only been debating "since" the buildup to the invasion. As if before President Bush was elected and before the "oppose Bush on anything" mentality developed, there was never a debate or question about Iraq being a threat to the United States and its Allies! Naturally though, as we have witnessed this past week, and too many times over the recent years, liberal politicians are catering to the groups of American defeat. Up until recently, it has always been the American policy that partisan politics stops at the shores. We have entered a new era where part of the war is being fought here through the propaganda front. It is up to the responsible citizens of the United States to engage the mentality of defeat and whose sympathy lies with the enemy. It is not only our current enemy, it has been any enemy since the cold war. It is up to our elected politicians, who supposedly represent our views, to engage the liberals who are trying to advance the defeat doctrine through their votes. It is also up to these politicians to put the safety and security of this nation above anything else and shut down this defeat America pulse.

Anyone who remembers anything about World War II, or has studied anything about World War II, will understand and remember that during World War II, the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. The Japanese psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work. They gave their psychological warfare script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale. What was that demoralizing message?
It had three main points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war

Does this sound familiar? Is it because Tokyo Murtha? Tokyo Dean? Tokyo Hillary? Tokyo Harry? Tokyo Teddy? Tokyo Nancy? Tokyo Durbin? Tokyo Kerry? etc. have all learned from the former enemies of our country and have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo Air America? Tokyo CNN? Tokyo ABC? Tokyo CBS? Tokyo NBC? Tokyo NY Times?etc.,to our troops? The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them. Come to think of it... We are all use to the constant snippets and headlines by the usual suspects in the mainstream media. For those of us who like to take in to account all of the facts, our friends at Newsmax.com have uncovered some valuable information that some of the so called "military experts in front of our television screens " might want to consider” or “may intentionally ignore” as they usually do. Apparently on CNN Wednesday, in its attempt to further fuel the hatred and the unfounded conviction the mainstream media has towards our military, decided to air an interview conducted by a "Human rights organization" of a 12 year old survivor of the Haditha "massacre". The young girls name is Safa Younis, who lived to tell about the marines raid on her home after and IED hit their convoy. As we all know by now, the IED is the preferred weapon of choice among our enemies in Iraq and the leading cause of death of US troops in the nation. She told the tale of how the Marines raided her house and killed her family members in what some have called "cold blood". Yet, there was also a comment she made while describing the events which led up to the Marines storming her home that went under the radar screen of most. She described the preceding events through a translator as follows::
“I was planning to go to school. I was about to get out of bed. I knew the bomb would explode, so I covered my ears. The bomb exploded. The bomb struck an armored vehicle. I don't know if it was a Humvee or an armored vehicle. When the bomb exploded, they came straight to our house” CNN.com - Transcripts

Now it’s a pretty safe bet that those who took the time to read this far, realize the stunning acknowledgement this child made. How would this "innocent" child who's "innocent unarmed" family was "massacred" by out of control US Marines, know a bomb was about to explode, furthermore know when to cover her ears?
Newsmax has made a point to amplify the admission by this young girl yet it’s backed up by the actual transcript from CNN. Naturally the interviewer from this Human Rights organization gave an example of what might be an excuse for her admission stating "the 9-year-old got confused and got her story mixed up". The commentator from CNN asks ..."Was her expectation of the explosion a premonition, a fear based on the sound of the passing convoy? Or was it based on some knowledge?" Now it’s probably not fair to ask whether this person from CNN thinks the viewing audience was born yesterday by even injecting the possibility of a "premonition" due to the fact that we already know the answer because they continue to watch. But those of us who question the mainstream media’s objectivity won’t be fooled by this upcoming defense of this witness’s statement.
Keep this in mind and make it a point the next time somebody makes the comment "innocent unarmed family murdered in cold blood by US Marines" yet are unaware. Its more likely you will find even more entertaining reasons for this statement other than "confusion" even though all of her other descriptions of how her family was slaughtered isn't questioned by these same people or you may even hear something that tops "premonition".

Ok picture this, your favorite college football team has just made it to the College Football National Championship game and you are one of millions of proud fans lucky enough to get tickets to the game. The game is being played and it has been a very hard fought game. The other team has even been playing dirty in a means to win at all costs. It's in the 4th QUARTER and your team is losing because on the previous set of downs, the other team's defense puts on a blitz, takes a cheap shot at your All-American star running backs legs (which the referees didn't see) thus breaking his leg and causing the RB to fumble the ball. The opposing team picks up the fumble and runs it in for a TD giving them a 4 pt lead with 3:00 mins. left in the game. Your team then gets the pursuing kickoff and manages to drive the ball to the opponent's 15 yard line with just 10 seconds left in the game. The QB steps to the line of scrimmage and notices that the defense is lined up in an all-out blitz formation. Ok question: What do you want the starting QB to do? A. Do nothing and keep the same play called and hope the defense does not break his legs and cause him to fumble and lose the game. B. Have the QB announce over the PA System to the entire 100,000 people in attendance that he intends to change the play thus tipping off the defense of his intentions also. C. Have the QB call a secret audible (that only his teammates can decipher) thus changing the play for a pass in the end zone to win the game.

Ok now picture this, your country is at war and you are one of 300 million proud Americans lucky enough to live in a free democratic country. The war began when an enemy attacked your country (which the United Nations Referees didn't see coming) thus killing 3000 Americans on a sunny autumn day in September. Americans are asking, "Who attacked our country?" He answers: "The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends. It is not our many Arab friends. Our enemy is a radical network of terrorists and every government that supports them. Our war on terror begins with Al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated. We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the destruction and to the defeat of the global terror network."
This brutal war on terror continues and the enemy is changing tactics such as suicide bombers, IED roadside car bombs, beheading innocent Americans. The enemy's leaders publicly announce their intentions to destroy the United States, Israel and all infidels. Your President steps to the line of scrimmage and notices the enemy searching and planning new ways to attack the United States again. What do you want your President to do? A. Do nothing and ignore the terrorists like we did in the 1990s and hope they do not attack again. B. Have the President brief members Congress about our secret intelligence and plans to catch or kill terrorists for which is leaked to the Mainstream Media such as the New York Times, Washington Post or USA Today thus revealing all of our plans to the enemy.
C. Have the President announce to all Americans and broadcast it all over the world our secret intelligence and plans to catch or kill terrorists thus revealing all of our plans to the enemy. D. Have the President maintain a secret plan and strategy (that only the TOP advisors in CIA, FBI, DOD, State Dept, and USSC can decipher) thus utilizing "every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the destruction and to the defeat of the global terror network"

February 26, 1993: Six people killed and about a thousand injured after a truck bomb explodes in the basement of the World Trade Center towers in New York.
October 3, 4 1993: Eighteen American soldiers are attacked and killed in Mogadishu, Somalia. A U.S. indictment later charged bin Laden and his followers with training the attackers. This is the incident described in the movie Black Hawk Down.
January, 1995: Following an explosion in a Manila apartment, Philippine police uncover a plot, code-named Bojinka or “Big Bang,” to blow up 12 airplanes bound for the U.S. Authorities arrest Abdul Hakim Murad, a Pakistani who is an associate of Ramzi Yousef, implicated in the Twin Towers bombing.
November 13, 1995: Five US soldiers and two Indian nationals are killed and more than 60 people wounded when a car bomb explodes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
June 25, 1996: Nineteen killed and 386 wounded when a truck bomb explodes at the US military base of Khobar near the town of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia.
August 7, 1998: 224 people killed and over 5000 injured, mostly Africans, when US embassies in Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam in east Africa are bombed.
October 12, 2000: 17 US sailors killed and 38 injured when a suicide attack on USS Cole in Aden is carried out.
September 11, 2001: Nearly 3,000 killed as hijacked airliners destroy the Twin Towers in New York city and crash into the Pentagon.
