UPDATE: In the biggest statement of unity thus far, 149 Democratic Congressmen including John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi voted Nay against the HRES 861 IH resolution that says: "Declaring that the United States will prevail in the Global War on Terror, the struggle to protect freedom from the terrorist adversary. "

In another brilliant move by Republicans, Senator McConnell of KY, introduced an Amendment in the Senate to withdraw US Troops from IRAQ by December 31, 2006. This legislation was to put on record in response to John Kerry's proposal & speech given at ``Take Back America" conference on June 14, 2006.
